YOUR HEARTBEAT CHANGES WITH THE MUSIC YOU LISTEN TO !

Music can be so powerful it can affect your mood, brainwaves, and even your heartbeat! It turns out that when we listen to music our body reacts to the sounds we hear.

Music is so influential it can alter your heartbeat, pulse rate, blood pressure, decrease your muscle tension, and even affect your body movement and coordination !!!

If a person listens to rock or techno, their heartbeat will involuntarily speed up. The opposite is true if someone listens to more calming or instrumental music.

Eiffel Tower Electrocuted

Awesome Photography : 'Eiffel Tower Electrocuted'

Illuminated in vivid blue and dwarfing neighbouring buildings, the Eiffel Tower’s impact on the Paris skyline was already dramatic......
But Mother Nature clearly felt she could lend the scene a little added pizzazz. This remarkable shot of a forked lightning bolt streaking through the sky behind the 1,063ft iron tower was captured by amateur photographer Bertrand Kulik.

leap seconds?

You've heard of leap years but do you know that there are 'leap seconds'? Time keeping became incredibly accurate with the invention of the first reliable atomic clock in 1955. This proved to be a problem because the Earth's rotation varies and is slowing down due to tidal changes, earthquakes, and friction from galactic dust. On average, the rotation of the Earth slows 1.5 seconds every 100 years but the rate of the atomic clock never varies. To make up for this, scientists began adding 'leap seconds' to the atomic clock in 1972. There is a showdown between scientists in Geneva at the UN over whether or not to abolish leap seconds. Some say that leap seconds don't matter. Others argue that if we abolish the leap second, the world's clocks will be off by one whole hour... in 550 years.

The fastest man on No legs

Known as the "Blade Runner" and "the fastest man on no legs", Oscar Pistorius is a South African Paralympic athlete and the double amputee world record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 metres (sport class T44) events.
Oscar Pistorius was born with congenital absence of the fibula in both legs. When he was 11 months old, his legs were amputated halfway between his knees and ankles. He attended Constantia Kloof Primary and Pretoria Boys High School where, between the ages of 11 and 13, he played rugby union in the school's third XV team, water polo and tennis. He also played water polo and tennis at provincial level. In addition, Pistorius took part in club Olympic wrestling. After a serious rugby knee injury in June 2003, he was introduced to running in January 2004 while undergoing rehabilitation, and "never looked back".
On 9 December 2007, he was awarded the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award, which is conferred for outstanding courage and achievement in the face of adversity.
Unusual Rock Formations at Torcal de Antequera :
El Torcal de Antequera is a nature reserve in the Sierra del Torcal mountain range located south of the city of Antequera, in Spain. It is known for its unusual limestone formations and magnificent geology formed over millions of years. El Torcal de Antequera Nature Reserve has one of the most impressive landscapes in Europe.
Millions of years ago the entire area of El Torcal was submerged under the ocean being part of a marine corridor that stretched from the Gulf of Cádiz to Alicante. During the Tertiary era, violent movements of the earth’s crust lifted these seabeds out of the water to an elevation of over 1300 meters, resulting in a modest mountain range of flat-lying limestone, which is rare in Andalucia. For the next 100 million years, these rocks were subjected to severe erosion by wind and rain leaving some of the most peculiarly shaped rock formations in the world today.
